TAG Catering Equipment won two awards at the ceda Grand Prix Awards for its projects with Brother Marcus and Warner Studley Castle.
Its project for Brother Marcus in the Design Projects £50k - £200k category won because it delivered a theatre-led restaurant experience on a tight budget, repurposing existing restaurant infrastructure and refurbishing Charvet cook suite. This provided Brother Marcus with a high-end experience, something that would have not ordinarily been delivered on their budget.
The project at Warner Studly Castle won the Project Management Excellence award, for a complex project delivered under extremely challenging circumstances. TAG was tasked with delivering 8 catering facilities for the Grade II* listed building, during a significant refurbishment programme that saw a flooded site and no highway infrastructure, all on a 6-month lead time.
“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for 5 projects and taking home 2 award wins” commented Tyron Stephens-Smith, Project & Creative Director.
“The awards we did win are a testament to our approach and ability to deliver all sizes of projects. Whether a small restaurant in Spitalfields London working directly for the client, to a multi-facility hotel for a main-contractor and architect.
“Thank you to all of the team, our suppliers and partners that helped to deliver these projects”.
The ceda (Catering Equipment Distributors Association) Grand Prix Awards 2020 were held on 4th March 2021 as part of the ceda Digital Event, following the postponement of the main conference and awards in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. The Grand Prix Awards are a highlight of the catering equipment industry calendar, recognising excellence in the hospitality and foodservice supply-chain.
