Spicy Harissa Lamb Burger

Lamb recipes tend to be exceptionally varied, with meals that offer classic comfort food as well as dishes that boast a more delicate, refined flavour. Take a look at the Spicy Harissa Lamb Burger recipe below as tried and tested by our professional chefs.


  • 500g Everyday Favourites Minced Lamb
  • 30g Everyday Favourites Natural Breadcrumbs
  • 1 (beaten) Egg
  • 20g World of Spice Harissa Spice
  • 1/2 Red Chilli, deseeded
  • 2 Garlic Cloves (grated)
  • 5g Everyday Favourites Ground Cinnamon


1. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix together until just combined. This is best done by hand, but don't over-work the mixture or you'll get a tough burger.
2. Wet your hands then shape the mixture into burgers by flattening the mixture in your hand. You can either make 3 large or 5 small burgers.
3. The burgers can now be cooked either on a griddle pan or barbecue. Make sure you pre-heat the griddle pan or barbecue to a medium heat.
4. Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, turning them once only.
5. Serve in a burger bun.
Chef's tip: make the burgers the day before as they flavour of the harissa will permeate the meat better.
