Orange and almond cake

Simple cake keeps well in freezer.


  • 2 oranges (a)
  • 6 eggs (b)
  • 500g caster sugar (b)
  • 110g plain flour (c)
  • 2tsp baking powder (c)
  • 400g gd almonds (c)


Boil (a) for 1 hour, then blend.
Cream(b) together, fold in (c). Then fold in the cooled (a).
Bake at 170C for 50 minutes to 1hour.remove from oven, leave for 15 minutes, then remove from tin and allow to cool fully.
