Ingredients

  • 6 oranges juiced and zested
  • 20tbsp of orange juice
  • 700g soft butter
  • 700g light soft brown sugar
  • 12 eggs
  • 4tbsp black treacle
  • 700g s.r.flour

Method

Boil orange juice and golden syrup, allow to cool.
Butter and flour moulds. Pour in syrup.
Cream together butter and sugar until pale.
Add the eggs and black treacle.
Add the flour last.
Pipe into the moulds, place in tray cling film and steam 100oc for 25-30mins.
